As part of SIGMA’s drive to be technologically superior and provide unmatched quality, SIGMA has added tablet computers in the field. These tablets allow our Quality Control technicians to directly input QC data in to excel files, as opposed to, filling out paper forms and then inputting the data. This eliminates double entry and reduces human error.

In addition, the tablets have been loaded with a GPS survey program so they can act as survey data collectors as well. Providing our workforce with these tablets, subscribes to SIGMA’s ‘environmental initiative’ to be paper free.

Fast and accurate testing of sample welds (a.k.a. Prewelds) and destructive test samples are done with SIGMA’s ground-breaking ‘5 Head Tensiometer’. This machine allows for one full test – meaning 10 peels and 5 sheer tests which can be run and documented by one person in as quickly as five minutes. All test data is directly loaded from the Tensiometer to spreadsheets, on our database, which allows the operator to instantly see the test results on SIGMA’s proprietary CAAB (Computer Aided As-built) program.
